This British Fencing accredited level 2 referee epee online theory course and consists of a 4 hour Zoom workshop with Chris Farren, BF and IWAS international referee educator, followed by an online multiple-choice examination.

The course covers topics such as the role of the referee, safety and safeguarding, competition structure, correct use of hand signals and common penalties, as well as those refereeing moments that are specific to epee fencing.

Candidate who have passed the theory part can have a practical assessment at The Youth Series event in Liverpool on the 22nd October or the Elite Epee event at Manchester Fencing Centre 4/5th November.
