This British Fencing accredited level 2 referee foil online course, consisting of a 4 hour workshop with Chris Farren, referee educator, followed by an online multiple-choice examination.

Time: 6-10pm
The course covers topics such as the role of the referee, foil conventions, safety and safeguarding, competition structure, correct use of hand signals and common penalties.

It is aimed at candidates that already have a basic knowledge of the weapon being studied, and candidates that pass this online examination will then be eligible to take a practical examination with a referee mentor at a fencing competition of suitable level.
N.B. You do not need to have passed a L1 referee course to attend this L2 weapon specific course.
