This British Fencing accredited level 2 referee foil online course, consisting of a 4 hour theory workshop with Chris Farren, referee educator, followed by an online multiple-choice examination.

The course covers topics such as the role of the referee, foil conventions, safety and safeguarding, competition structure, correct use of hand signals and common penalties.

N.B. You do not need to have passed a L1 referee course to attend this L2 weapon specific course.

Note that the costs for this course are solely for the online workshop and examination sections of the qualification, candidates will have to organise the practical assessment element of the qualification themselves (although assistance will be given by the referee educator on how to do this) British Fencing membership required.
